A crawler-type robot construction kit equipped with a BBC micro:bit educational microcontroller board, an ultrasonic sensor, and a drive circuit. Its pre-installed program lets it detect and avoid obstacles; it can also stop when it detects a loud sound and respond with sound and movement.
Features
Two motors are controlled by the BBC micro:bit according to the installed driving program.
Combining the robot with separately sold parts enables wireless control for forward and reverse movement and left and right turns.
You can program the BBC micro:bit using a computer to control the robot’s movement.
A free Japanese-language programming tool is available in a web browser. Programs can be created by arranging visual blocks on screen.
How to Use
Assembly is required, and tools are needed separately. Two separately sold AA batteries are required. Programming requires an internet-connected computer (such as Windows or Mac) and a micro USB cable. Adhesive, paint, tools, and batteries are not included.
