A 1/700-scale detail-up parts set from FineMolds’ Nano-Dread series of finely sculpted, precision parts. Mantlets were cylindrical cloth coverings placed around Japanese Navy battleship and aircraft carrier bridges and cruiser gun turrets to protect against shell fragments. They contained sailors’ bedding, including hammocks, and were removed from the middle of 1942 onward as a fire-prevention measure against attacks.
